Coated papers

The right adhesive material for the right label. The choice of material should not be taken lightly. The material can completely change the perception of your product and brand. Oppaca offers various types of media for printing personalised labels.

The Coated Paper is a smooth and superficially treated paper with matte or glossy finishes with a high white point (clean white), capable of making any color shine.

Glossy paper

This high gloss pure cellulose paper with off-machine chrome application is free from mechanical pulp. This cardstock is subject to a water-resistant treatment that prevents creases forming and reduces the absorption of water on the surface. This glossy paper is suitable to all types of application, its specific characteristics make the colours on your personalised label stand out, being shinier and more brilliant. This paper stock is also resistant to immersion in water and ice.

Matte paper

This wood-free paper is matte, coated off-machine. Resistant to wetting and alkalis, this coated paper has been subject to water-resistant treatment. Its special properties render this cardstock ideal for all applications, specifically for multicolour overprint labels with thermal treatment. Water-resistant matte paper is also resistant to immersion in water and ice.

Coated Oil Resistant Paper

This white wood-free paper is opaque, coated and treated to be resistant to oils and fats. This cardstock was created especially for the labelling products needing resistance to these ingredients and especially for olive oil. This is the best paper for enhancing the visual impact of your personalised label, rendering the colours even brighter whilst maintaining a semi-gloss finish.

Natural papers

Natural paper is a paper with an untreated appearance, characterized by particular textures, natural colors with different shades of white or ivory and different paper weights. Find out with us what their salient features are, and which types of natural paper go best with your personalized labels.

Felt-marked paper

This is natural paper with pure cellulose, having a felt-marked surface on both sides. The water-resistant treatment to which this cardstock is subjected prevents the formation of creases and reduces the absorption of water on its surface.

Embossed paper

This natural paper is embossed and passed through a smoothing press with a treatment to render it resistant to water, alkali, and mildew. The embossing is quite evident, inferring an “orange peel” effect to the paper that makes it ideal for labels with strong character and personality.

Laid paper

This natural white laid paper is passed through a smoothing press with a treatment to render the paper resistant to water, alkali and mildew. This top-quality paper is perfect for personalised labels where a classic look or a vintage and handmade touch is sought after.

Cotton paper

This natural paper in 100% cotton fibre has been treated to make this cardstock resistant to water and mildew, having a porous texture. Due to the nature of the raw materials utilised, there may be some minor impurities and/or changes in colour. The water-resistant treatment applied prevents the formation of creases and reduces water being absorbed on the paper’s surface, ensuring your product is able to pass the ice bucket test. Cotton paper is also great for printing labels that are simple and minimalistic.

Felt-marked oil-resistant paper

This is natural paper with pure cellulose, having a felt-marked surface on both sides. The treatment for being resistant to oils and vegetable fats renders it perfect for packaging olive oil and any products needing such a process. The external appearance of the paper has the same features as Felt-marked Paper.

Plastic materials

Plastic materials are made of polypropylene and can have glossy, opaque and transparent finishes. They are particularly suitable for the packaging of products such as oil as they are highly resistant and anti-drop and the creation of transparent labels.

Glossy polypropylene

This polypropylene film is white, glossy, bioriented and features a top-coated finishing. It is suitable for labels that need to be long-lasting and resistant to moisture. From an aesthetic perspective, this material renders colours brighter and super glossy for a highly effective visual impact.

Matte polypropylene

Matte polypropylene is a white, opaque polypropylene film with a top-coated treatment. As in the glossy version, it is recommended for labels where long life and resistance to humidity are required. It makes the colors more intense while maintaining a very refined matte finish.

Transparent polypropylene

It is a transparent, glossy, bi-oriented polypropylene film with a top-coated treatment. The clear version, like the glossy and the opaque, is recommended for personalized labels where long shelf life and moisture resistance are required but, unlike these two, it is great for creating clear labels to apply on jars whose content you want to show through a "no label look" effect.

The transparent finish of this material is ideal if you want to make the contents of the package visible. Using selective opaque white, it is possible to create transparent parts on the adhesive label itself. The selective opaque white is a very opaque ink that serves as a base on transparent materials for the subsequent printing of shades. The areas that will be left transparent must be free of selective opaque white. The selective opaque white must in fact be present only on those areas of the adhesive label that must be opaque and conceal the content inside.

Special materials

Special materials are out of the ordinary and are used for particular and innovative labels. If your product is an over-the-top product and you want to communicate its uniqueness, this category of materials is the one for you.

Pearlescent and embossed paper

It is a natural paper, classified among the special papers for its texture. Embossed and pearly white in color, it has an anti-pulping treatment that makes it resistant to humidity.

Metallic silver paper

It is a shiny silver metallic paper, free from wood and composed of a layer of high gloss vacuum laminated aluminum. It is great if you want to achieve a reflective and sparkling effect that will make your product stand out on the shelf.
